Refund policy

RETURNS & REFUNDS

We want you to be happy with your order. If you've simply changed your mind, we offer a 7-day return window from the date you receive your item.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, your item must be unworn or unused, in its original condition and packaging, with tags attached, and you'll need your receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, contact us at info@notjustforvegans.com. Once your return is accepted, we'll send you a return shipping label and instructions. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible. This is separate from the change-of-mind window above, and your statutory rights under UAE consumer protection law apply regardless of how long you've had the item.

Non-returnable items: personalised or custom orders, and gift cards, cannot be returned. Sale items are non-returnable unless faulty.

Refunds: once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Processing times can vary depending on your bank or card provider.

Exchanges: the quickest way to get what you want is to return the original item, then place a new order once your return is accepted.

Event stand bookings and vendor participation are covered under a separate Vendor Terms & Logistics agreement, not this policy. If you've booked a stand at an NJFV market, please refer to the terms below.

EVENT & VENDOR CANCELLATIONS, CREDITS & REFUNDS

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to info@notjustforvegans.com. Notices received outside working hours (9am–6pm, Monday to Friday) will be logged on receipt and processed the next working day. Cancellations by phone or WhatsApp will not be accepted as formal notice.

Once a vendor is confirmed, NJFV incurs real costs on their behalf ahead of the event, including personalised artwork production, paid social and marketing promotion, and stand allocation. The charges below reflect those costs and the notice period needed to recover or reallocate them, they are not a general penalty.

More than 7 days before the event, before artwork or promotion has started: 50% credit note towards a future NJFV market.

Within 72 hours of the event: No refund or credit, the stand cannot realistically be reallocated at this notice.

Vendor artwork already produced and/or promotion already live before cancelling: No refund or credit, plus a flat AED 100 charge to cover direct promotional spend already committed.

Live cooking demo, cancellation: No refund; minimum 14 working days' notice required, given the additional logistics involved.

A single admin fee of 20% applies only where a monetary refund is issued (via your original payment method), to cover payment processing costs. It is not applied in addition to the artwork/promotion charge above, since that charge already reflects the specific cost incurred.

Where a credit note is issued, it is valid for [state validity period] from the date of issue.

Early pack-down, table covering & damage: These are on-the-day operational charges, not cancellation charges, and are covered separately under the vendor logistics terms (Community, Vegan & Sustainability / Food, Safety & Presentation sections), as they relate to conduct during the event rather than cancelling ahead of it.

If NJFV cancels or reschedules the event: Vendors will be offered a full refund or an equal-value credit note, their choice. NJFV is not liable for further loss arising from the cancellation.

Force majeure: Extreme weather, government restriction, venue closure, or other events beyond either party's reasonable control release both NJFV and the vendor from the charges above, provided notice is given as soon as reasonably possible.

Breach of terms: Where a vendor materially breaches these terms (for example, selling non-vegan or counterfeit goods), NJFV may remove the vendor from the event without refund or credit. Minor or first-time breaches will be addressed with a warning where reasonably possible before this step is taken.

Gifted/complimentary spaces: the same cancellation terms apply. The full stand value becomes payable if this process is not followed.
